Hello! It is midterms week here in London so today’s post is going to be a bit shorter because I haven’t done very much these past few days because I’ve been too busy writing essays about Napoleon. I actually am so bored by Napoleon so I think the essay I turned in today was one of the worst things I’ve ever written in my life. But then I went and ate mac ‘n’ cheese, so the day turned out alright!
I had the “Mambo Italiano” mac ‘n’ cheese from a place called The Mac Factory. It was topped with pancetta, mushrooms, garlic, and parmesan & thyme crumble. A deliciously salty, cheesy lunch!
I also hopped around Camden Town one night looking at its murals. I love that rhino made out of ribbon!
The real reason I was in Camden Town, though, was for the grand opening of a new Asian tapas place called Tam Ting! I got to sample a ton of drinks and small bites! Apologies ahead of time, the lighting was not very helpful so the photos are not my best, but I think they’re good enough where you can kinda tell what things are!
The drinks were a bit hit or miss, but I did drink cup after cup of sangria which was quite good.
My favorite bite of the night was a crispy pumpkin tofu that had the most delicious creamy interior!
Most of the other bites followed the same formula: salty fried protein plus garnish, so none stood out as being the best or were particularly memorable. Still, it was a fun night all around and a super cool experience. It pays to have a food Instagram sometimes! Alright, now back to writing essays. Let’s see if I can have something better to say about Modern European Cinema than I did about Napoleon.
Ta-Ta for now,
